About Ria

My name is Maria Mirabel Mora, but you can call me Ria for short. My birthday's on September 17 (that makes me a Virgo!)

I currently work at Orange and Bronze Software Labs as an Associate Software Engineer.

I enjoy programming (the logical side of it at least). I may not be the best one out there, but trying to make ends meet and solving problems are what I love to do. I sometimes program when I'm bored: that's how I came up with the UA&P GWA Calculator.

So far, I've had experience creating websites using HTML, CSS, JSP/JSTL, MySQL, and PHP. My command-line interface programming language of choice is Java. My tools of choice are Eclipse (for JSTL), Adobe Photoshop (for images), XAMPP (Apache + MySQL), and Notepad++ (for everything else).

I am a workaholic (once I pop I can't stop) and a bit of an obsessive-compulsive person. I enjoy playing Ragnarok Online (pRO) and I love cats (thus the title Self-Proclaimed Ailurophile).

I believe that

1. One shouldn't stick to the ways of the world just because.
2. One should have their own identity, not one that is built for them.
3. One should abide by a set of principles which define himself/herself on top of ethics and morality.
4. One should never be contented with ignorance.
5. One should always try to be objective and keep a level playing field: it makes more sense.
